Raid Loot Distribution:

Raid Loot will be distributed based upon a discretionary/merit system.

This system seeks to strike a fair balance between two goals :
» to effectively award loot to those whom have improved our guild through participation in raids and events; and
» to enhance the capability of our raiding unit by distributing gear in a manner which will effectuate the greatest overall benefit to the raiding force.

  1. Loot will first be categorized according to which class it is most beneficial or appropriate for by our guild leadership.
  2. Any individual who is present at the time of the drop may express interest in the item. This is done by sending a tell to the raid leader and linking the item that will be replaced.
  3. The leadership will then consider several factors when determining who will receive the item.

These factors will include, but are not limited to:
» Guild participation
» Level
» When the member last received a raid loot item
» Previous wins
» How beneficial the item is to the member
» Set bonuses

Guild participation (through the accumulation of Activity Points), current gear, and previous wins are weighed the most heavily. The voting panel will consider these and other facters to decide the winner.

Loot Delegation Process:

After a raid boss drops loot, the guild officers, captains, and one random raid member who has not bid for any currently dropped items will meet in a private channel to discuss the forementioned guidelines for awarding loot. The order in which things are conducted are as follows:

  1. Bidders are announced
  2. Relevant information is retrieved on each bidder
  3. Members of the panel will consider the information
  4. Floor is opened for discussion
  5. Majority vote
  6. Winner is announced via raid chat

Captains/Officers who bid on a particular item are to recuse themselves from the discussion/voting on that particular item.

Loot System

Collective raids will use the Master Looter loot system, for speed and to avoid confusion. An Officer will handle the Loot Master duties.

Classifying Raid Loot

Raid loot eligible to be assigned under this system includes all epic quality loot from Zul'Gurub, Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair, and any future raid-level instances that The Collective may participate in.
